When a person as wonderful as Meme has a big birthday, it calls for more than a day of celebration! We began the party Friday and it lasted through the weekend. Though, I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, Meme or the children.
To kickoff the weekend, Meme took the train down Friday afternoon and we surprised Christian and Lindalee with tickets to Disney on Ice: Celebrations {quite fitting for the weekend}.

Lindalee all ready to go!
When picking up the birthday girl, you need balloons, right?
As we walked into TD Garden, Christian still didn't know what we were doing, but he was very excited. "Mommy! Tell me what this is!"
Meme and I were just as excited as the children.
Bad picture, but this was Christian's favorite part. When the lights turned off and the dancing brooms came out he said, "Now this is what I call a good time!".
On Saturday morning, we took Meme and Papa to the Museum of Science for a morning of exploration.
Happy as long as "Meow" {Hello Kitty} is around.
Beautiful day walking along the river!
Christian has been asking to go on the "rocket ship" ride since we moved here. He was pretty excited to "blast off!".
Daddy and Christian leared about how human eyes work {using real eyeballs!}.
Lindalee was really into learning about feet. Future podiatrist?
Christian spent some time putting together the internal organs in a model.
He did a great job and was very proud once he completed it!
Lindalee excited to see how fast she can run.
No one wanted to leave the museum, we were having way to much fun! We headed home for lunch and a rest. Surprisingly Christian took a nap, and even more surprisingly, Lindalee did not. I think she was a little excited that Auntie Pha and Uncle James were on their way. She's a big fan.
Lindalee got dressed for a big night of celebration.
Does it get any cuter?
Lindalee stole Meme's birthday hat.
Christian and Lindalee were in heaven on our walk to the North End.
Meme has two great little helpers. Have a dessert? They can take care of it for you!
Grant/Baker family picture in front of Al Dente Restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious and fun birthday dinner.
We came back to our apartement for more celebrations!
Auntie Pha outdid herself, as usual, and made the most beautiful {and delicious} cupcakes and flower arrangement.
Happy Birthday Meme!
And Uncle Slosh!
Icecream and a cupcake? Yes, please!
Very serious stuff.
Bedtime cuddles with Auntie Pha
The next morning, we enjoyed a nice breakfast and headed out for some ice skating.
Pretty girls!
Christian really wanted to skate all by himself. He kept shaking me off every time I tried to get a hold of him.
Christian showing off his ice skating "tricks". He said he's going to get really good and be the "scary guy" in Disney on Ice.
This about sums up the weekend.
Thankful for this wonderful time filled with family, celebrating one amazing woman. We love you Meme!
