Earlier this year, the children and I were talking about where the people we love work. Lindalee made a comment, "Mommy no work." Those little words were powerful. Mommy no work? What?! I work like a crazy woman all day, everyday, and a lot of nights as well. I, personally, think being a stay at home mom is THE most challenging and demanding job you can have. I was upset by her words and and said, "Oh, mommy works. I work all day, everyday, without a break. I work with two crazy little animals on the Funny Farm." Christian and Lindalee thought it was hilarious, and it stuck. They now talk often of mommy's job on the funny farm. They also like to "brag" to random strangers about their mother's job.
Hanging out with our rooster, Chica.
Lindalee and her mischievous grin.
I think Christian may be a little jealous of all the handmedown costumes Lindalee is getting from her big cousins; he insisted on putting one on. He said, "This is so weird".
Muscle-woman Lindalee!
Christian and his favorite chick, Pinkie.
Chasing chickens in his underwear. He is such a boy!
Lindalee locked Christian in the coop. It was pretty entertaining to watch.
Thankful for my two little "helpers", down on the Funny Farm.
