The children were very excited to wake up to a new year. We had a wonderful, lazy morning filled with cinnamon rolls and silliness.

Thankfully both {BOTH} children napped before our big afternoon out. We dressed them in their holiday attire for one last time. We had a pit stop in our lobby for a little photo shoot before we headed to the MoS IMAX theater for their first "real" movie experience.

It was a beautiful afternoon for a walk along the river.
The kids were already excited to visit the movie theater, but lost their marbles when they found out their buddies, Mona and Lana, would be joining us as well.
The evening quickly turned into a date night for Christian and Lana. Lindalee was a little jealous of all the attention they were giving one another. Poor baby sister!
We ended the evening at little Italian restaurant in the north end, Al Dente. The food was some of the best Italian we have ever had. Lindalee was more than a handful at dinnertime, but thankfully no one in the establishment seemed to mind. We were in and out pretty quickly. I was able to enjoy the rest of my meal at home after the children were in bed.
Thankful for a relaxing and entertaining first day to start off the new year!
