January 3rd, 2014
The first snow storm of 2014 and a typical day in the life of "Super-hero Mom, super-hero Christian {Flash, Batman, Spider-man, etc}, and Fire-star {Lindalee} "! The kids wanted sleds to go sledding. According to my super-hero son, the mission had it's obstacles. We defied the evil snow villains by throwing fire balls to melt them. Despite numerous setbacks {every store sold out} we were able to defy all odds and found the perfect sleds. Mission complete- thanks to my two crazy super-hero sidekicks and help from my super-hero studded snow tires {thank you Papa}.
Look at those bad boys!
Snow-day attire
Note my *fake* smile, sweaty face, and two crying children. Did I want to go outside in the freezing cold and play in the snow? No! By the looks of it, the kids didn't either. They were both screaming as I painstakingly got them bundled up. They better remember this when I'm an old lady. Thankfully, my effort paid off, they {we} had a blast playing in the snow.
Not a bad way to travel!
Snow angel
We happened to run into our buddies outside. Christian and Lana were in heaven playing in the snow together. When it was time to come in Christian hoped in her sled {holding his sled on his lap} and told Lana to pull him. She did. Oh, Christian.
We survived the snow, but barely survived the arctic air blast that came along with it. We are thankful for snow to play in and 'warmer' weather in the forecast!
