Merry, merry, merry, merry! Ho, ho, ho!
My favorite moment from the day, when the kids saw the gifts under the tree for the first time. Christian's eyes were filled with glitter, Lindalee was still rather sleepy.
Happy boy, busy girl!
Lindalee was very happy about Christian's TMNT hand soap.
Every year I do special ornament for the kids to put away for when they are grown up and have a Christmas tree of their own. I felt like Christian was at the age where he might understand the concept. He was very excited when I told him they were for his Christmas tree when he was big and he didn't live with Mommy and Daddy anymore. He then became very confused and asked, "Why would I ever not want to live with Mommy and Daddy?". I'll be sure to remind him of this when he's sixteen.
He got it! This is the only thing he asked for- TMNT "Shredder's spinning underground layer". He was SO excited when he opened it. He and daddy spent the next hour setting it up. He wasn't too interested in opening up anything else for quite some time.
Lindalee opening her special gift from Santa.
She loves her new dog, "La-La"
She had a second to sit on Grandad's lap, but made it quick so that she could get back to taking care of "La-La". Busy girl!
Enjoying her new {non-superhero} dining set.
And of course, she made sure the baby was well fed.
We enjoyed a visit from the Maybaums. The kids cozied up for a Christmas show while the adults enjoyed some OJ, with a splash of champagne.
The whole gang with the crazies on the right.
Meme and Papa came down to enjoy Christmas evening with us all. As you can see, Lindalee was pleasantly surprised to see Papa when she woke from her nap.
Post-nap Christmas cuddle
Lindalee wearing my Christmas dress from 1985. Thanks to Meme, it looks as new as the day I wore it.
We attempted {and failed} a Christmas photo shoot before we headed to dinner. These kids know how to keep things entertaining.
Final attempt- bribing with candy canes.
Christian thoroughly enjoying his time with his two grandmothers.
Baby Lindalee and Daddy
MBTA fun!
The Baker family
Lindalee enjoyed some warm cuddles from Grandad.
I would have loved to hosted a big Christmas dinner, but with our current living situation {and lack of kitchen accessories} I knew it wouldn't work. We made reservations at Petit Robert Bistro with somewhat low expectations, considering it was Christmas day. We not only enjoyed an amazing meal with both sets of parents, to top it off the children were complete angels. It couldn't have been more perfect!

When we got home, we still had quite a bit of gift opening to do, so we got straight to business.
Lindalee and her baby doll that makes {weird} noises and faces when you give it a bottle or pacifier. Christian is in the background VERY excited about his Millenium Falcon.
A little mommy moment
Perfect moment give her a new book, "Little Mommy".
Round two of "Little Mommy" with her "babies" in their {ghetto} "crib" by her side.
Cute little Christmas bum-bum
Princess Lindalee!
Zoe and her new buddy, La-La.
Thankful for a very special Christmas filled with all the things that truly matter- lots of love, some magic, and family!
