Poor little Miss Lindalee hasn't been herself. I think some incoming molars are getting the best of her. She gave us a screaming wake-up call at six this morning and was not her sweet self. To preserve my remaining sanity, I loaded the kids up and was at the museum the minute it opened. Thankfully, it took her mind off from her troubles and we had a great morning playing, exploring, and learning.
Christian enjoying the Sound-stairs
We spent the first part of the morning in a new {to us} exhibit about models. We talked about different types of models and their purposes. The kids enjoyed the interactive model stations.
Lindalee had fun practicing her colors, she almost has them down. When she is asked a color and is not quite sure, the default answer is "blue!".
When I told the kids that Mrs. Laura and Mona were meeting us at the museum, the quickly dropped everything they were doing and ran to the lobby to greet them. Just a little excited?
We stopped by a "Live Animal Show" featuring a snake. I couldn't stand watching it slither around, but the kids stuck around to check it out for a couple minutes.
"Oh, skeletons, I love you!"
After Lindalee's nap, we took a walk to the library. On our walk home I told Christian how the librarian was impressed by his choice of books {Shel Silverstein poetry} and how she said he is quite the scholar {Grandad exposed Christian to theses books of poems and he's been hooked ever since}. He replied, "Mommy, I need to read and read a lot so I can work and make lots of money and buy all the Legos in the world!". Sounds like he has a long term plan!
Christian asked if I'd take a picture of the "Golden Gate Bridge with four pillars" that he built.
Christian has gotten really into "relaxing" in the bathtub. Lindalee thinks it's pretty silly.
I am so thankful for these two little nuts!
