We spent the morning in Brookline at a craft play date. It was hosted by a fellow mom from a club I recently joined. It was good to go to someone's home and hang out. I enjoyed the company and the kids had a fun time playing and crafting. I don't drive my car here, unless 100% necessary. I had the option to take the T to our play date, but have heard some horror stories about taking strollers on the Green Line to Brookline. I decided to tackle the streets and parking situation. Not only did we get there, but I actually was able to park on the street with my ginormous car. Doesn't sound like a big accomplishment, but it was for me!
Here are some pictures I took while getting the kiddos dressed:
Like her new hairdo?
I think little girl under clothes have to be the cutest thing in the entire world.
How can I say "no" to this face?
We found that a learning center near us is part of a BOA network that provides subsidized learning for children of employees. I had looked into a number of these centers in Charlotte, but was not very impressed. I found this center while playing at a park shared with the center {that has ridiculously long waiting list to get in}. From what I could see through the window, I assumed it was an expensive Montessori school {which could very easily cost $30k/yea. Ridiculous!}. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that it was part of our subsidized network! Cha-ching!
We decided to give it a try {tomorrow}. It would be great to get him into a program for one or two mornings a week to make some friends and gain some independence from mommy and sister.
We went to meet the teachers and 'friends' so he would feel more comfortable. He was so excited, he ran the whole way there.
Especially thankful for surviving my morning excursion driving through, and parking, in the city.
