Brrrr! Ok, It's cold. I had the kids all bundled up in the stroller, but I felt like I had a thin layer of ice covering my face by the time we got to Christian's school.
Warm and cozy stroller ride {for them}.
Big smile in front of his new school
Nice view of the Charles River in the background. Not a bad location.
Lindalee and I stayed in his classroom for a bit allowing me to drill the teachers {poor things}. Both of the kids were as happy as could be and staying very entertained in Chrisitan's new surroundings. I told Lindalee it was time to go and she waved at me and said "Byyyyyeee!". She wasn't very happy that Christian got to stay and she didn't. She threw a little tantrum, then we were on our way.
I took Lindalee to a music program at the library. It was great spending the morning with her. I missed Christian, but it's amazing to see her personality change when big brother isn't stealing the show. She made a lot of little "friends" and seemed to enjoy having mommy all to herself. She sang songs and did some pretty awesome dance moves. The program was in English, Spanish, and Chinese. She was completely interested in the English part, kind of interested in the Spanish parts, and completely disinterested in the Chinese part. Good exposure, right?
The whole stroller ride back, she was hollering, "Brother! Brother!". I think she missed him as much as I did. We met up with Daddy to pick up Christian at school. It's a full day program, but I {selfishly} wanted to ease him in. We got there and he didn't want to leave. I'll take that as a good sign.
This afternoon we went to a music program they are starting in our building. It was a great hour and especially great we could walk downstairs to it. I'm looking forward to our Wednesday afternoons here. We were the only Americans there. Definitely in the minority!
Christian hugging and saying "Ciao Ciao" to our friends
My favorite time of the day!
Thankful for a successful morning of preschool {and the fact that it's subsidized}!
