I was woken up at 5:10 this morning to a little voice on the monitor singing, "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to Bra-Bra! Happy birthday to you!". I think a little girl may be even more excited than Christian for his upcoming birthday. Thankfully, she drifted back to sleep for a bit after her song. It was so sweet, I stayed in bed cuddling with the sleeping {soon to be 4 year old} boy, with a smile on my face.
We got up and out of the house early today. We headed to Dover to hang out with Betty and Jo for the day. The children couldn't have been more excited.

Betty read books to Christian until her voice hurt and couldn't go on. He was in heaven.

Christian got "scared" during the story of Snow White.
We had a fun outing to the toy store and to Betty & Jo's "favorite" lunch place. I had two different people compliment me on how "wonderful" and "pleasant" my four children were.
When we got home, Betty & Jo insisted on nap time. Jo tried reading Christian and Lindalee a bedtime story but got frusterated when they weren't "paying attention". Betty even played the group a "lullaby" on her guitar. Despite their efforts, not one of the four napped.
We ended the day at the playground. Lindalee was too "scared" to go on the seesaw.
Unfortunately for Chris, today made me want four kids. Don't get me wrong, they kept me on my toes and the day definitely took my Mom duties to the next level. Despite being completely exhausted by 4:00, we all had a blast. Thankful for a day filled with four fantastic kiddos!
