Of course, moving day/weekend did not go as planned. But, we survived. We cleaned all our boxes out from Meme and Papa's basement, garage, and house and got them to our new home. I knew I hated moving, but this reminded me that I REALLY hate moving. The optimist in me would like to think that this will be our last move for a long time. At least until our children are all at UVA and we move back to Charlottesville. A girl can dream.
Though we missed Lindalee during our first night in our new home, it was nice to have her with Meme and Papa. We were in such a mess, it would have been dangerous to have her in the house with so many boxes stacked on one another.
Loading up the chickens and bikes in Papa's truck!
Christian was in heaven with the move. He kept himself very entertained opening up boxes of toys/junk he hasn't seen in seven months.
He also had a great time exploring his new territory. Swinging on the swing in his undies, of course!
My big helpers! I'm so thankful for these "dudes"
Our beautiful living room..
And dining room.
With the property, came a very large and very loud turkey. Even Uncle James was surprised by it's size. "Turkey Workey" {Christian named him} gobbles outside our bedroom windows at 5:15 am, even coming up on our deck. Thanksgiving may come early this year.
It was great {but crazy} to have Lindalee at our new home with us. This was the children toasting before their first "family" dinner in their new home. Seconds later, Lindalee threw her cup of milk across the {already messy} room. Oh, Lindalee!
Lindalee is enjoying all of Riley and Lucy's hand-me-downs.
Thankful that moving day is over. We are especially thankful for ALL the help from our families, we couldn't have done it without them!
